Before the timeline commences all client objectives are finalised along with the appropriate plan and payment.
Web Project Timeline (version 1.0)
Stage 1: Setup
- 1.1 Ensure access to client DNS and other related resources
- 1.2 Prepare workspace and testing server
- 1.3 Setup prototype testing project spaces
Stage 2: Brand Assets
- 2.1 Essential client assets identified
- 2.2 Creation of client assets in vector form (Adobe Illustrator) if required
- 2.3 Optimisation of video media
- 2.4 Creation of brand style (colours, font faces etc)
Stage 3: Prototyping and revisions
- 3.1 Client website essentials gathered
- 3.2 Multiple prototypes prepared with brand assets in Stage 2
- 3.3 Client selection of prototype draft
- 3.4 Unlimited revisions to prototype type
- 3.5 Homepage prototype established
- 3.6 All other page prototype finalised.
Stage 4: Site build / Launch SEO
- 4.1 Initial core keyword research
- 4.2 Setup of global repeatable content blocks
- 4.3 Optimise stock imagery as required
- 4.3 Menu and mega menu setup
- 4.4 Homepage build with client revisions (including launch SEO)
- 4.5 All standard page builds with client revisions (including launch SEO)
- 4.6 Contact form build and tests (including launch SEO)
- 4.7 Product payment pages build and tests (including launch SEO)
- 4.8 Initial multi device responsive testing
- 4.9 Launch SEO media and copy checks
- 4.10 Final client revisions
Stage 5: Integrations
- 5.1 Anti spam prevention setup
- 5.2. All other external integration accounts setup
- 5.3 External integrations plugged in
- 5.4 Multi account testing
- 5.5 Client feedback and revisions
Stage 6: Pro Plan work
Completed before or after launch depending on client preference.
- 6.1 Pro plan additional content work
- 6.2 Custom functionality as required
- 6.3 SEO: Content readability enhancements
- 6.4 SEO/Brand: Strategy report
- 6.5 Final testing of all elements in this stage.
Stage 7: Launch / Support
- 7.1 DNS settings changed for site launch
- 7.2 Checks on all navigation
- 7.3 Client access given to all platforms as applicable
- 7.4 (If pro plan selected) Post launch support
Stage 8: Post launch additions
- 8.1 Any oustanding Pro plan work
- 8.2 Additional integration builds
- 8.3 Future project recommendations
