Types of work

All types of projects are commissioned carefully and have importance to the business documentation, administration or creative services.

A key difference lies with whether there is direct interaction with the client (Type B), or directly commissioned services for client project work (Type C).

Both Type B and Type C have potential additional prerequisites.

A: Agency work

Internal documentation and system reviews for the agency.

  • Set time/payment per project
  • Project length: 2-8 hours
B: Business/project admin

Business administration with direct client contact. Potential for project management role on larger projects.

  • Month retainer possible


C - Client Specialisms

Specialist services from freelancers linked to content, marketing and technical client work.

Ability to self manage work and adhere to agreed deadlines.


Communication with agency: Communicate issues or updates promptly within the agency channels.

Business appearence and speech

For video or in person meetings, dressing and speaking professionally.

Agency knowledge

Detailed knowledge of agency offerings and policies, ready to respond promptly to client queries.

Payment levels are reviewed annually and take into account national average levels determined independently by Indeed.

Getting paid

To ensure prompt payment please ensure you have followed the critiera here.

A: Time records

For hourly paid work, ensure any time logging is complete.

This will be needed for the invoice details.

B: Invoice emailed with these details
  • Project Reference
  • Invoice Number (for reference) - usually in the form of Invoice #001
  • Task Reference - hours of work x £ category rate - or - agreed project total £.
  • Additional expenses as agreed
  • Additional bonuses as agreed
  • Your business name / address / email or freelancer name / address / email
  • Your payment method (usually bank details)
C: Payment will be made in 14 working days

Payment will be made within 14 working days, usually sooner.

3 Steps

#1 Finalise specifics

Agree on specific project objectives, key deadline dates, along with the hours (if applicable) and total payment.

🔜 #2: Paperwork signed

Paperwork prepared and signed by both agency and freelancer.

#3: Work start

Setup on any applicable project platforms along with a communication channel. If applicable, the freelancer will need a platform for invoicing the agency.
